One of our Board members, Jessica, who identifies as an Indigenous youth, facilitated a virtual conversation with other Indigenous youth on finding community and thriving in post-secondary institutions.
Through this opportunity, Jessica was able to provide mentorship supports to other Indigenous youth who attended, while strengthening her own communication and facilitation skills.
As a result, Jessica was subsequently invited to share her experiences in community building at a national conference with the Canadian Federation of Students’ Circle of First Nations, Metis and Inuit Students.
